About

PERSONAL

photoI am happily married to my bride of 13 years.  We have three wonderful children, Cambrielle, Caylee, and Caleb.  I am currently serving as the Family Pastor at our church.  I am also on staff with Student Venture/Cru High School (a ministry of Cru).  We operate bible clubs, leadership & discipleship training, and outreach opportunities on public school campuses in the Southwest Riverside County area.  I love football!  The game runs deep in the Stevens’ blood.  Two of my greatest experiences was the year my dad, brother, and I coached together.  The other was winning a CIF Championship.

EDUCATION

My desire to get in to the field of education started when I was in the 11th grade.  My U.S. History teacher was one of the best I ever had.  He is the one I credit for instilling in me a desire to become a teacher.  That desire was solidified at Azusa Pacific University sitting under many amazing History professors.  I even remember the lecture that was being given when the light went on that this is what I wanted to do.  I received my first full-time teaching position at Calvary Murrieta Christian School.  I spent the next 9 years teaching within the Social Studies department.  I then felt led to move in to administration.  I entered the Masters program at Azusa Pacific University in the fall of 2008, graduating in July of 2009 with a M.A. in Educational Leadership.  I served 5 years as an administrator; 3 years as a Junior High Principal and 2 as a High School Vice Principal.

MINISTRY

After 15 years of serving in the field of Education, the Lord placed the desire in my heart to go in to full-time ministry.  Not to be dismissed, God’s plans are perfect!  With Student Venture, I am able to use my 15 years of education experience while serving on various high school and middle school campuses!  Serving the Lord in this way has allowed me to preach, teach, and speak His Word at various churches, schools, chapels, and retreats.  I’ve been blessed to provide biblical counseling, pre-marital classes, and preside over funerals and memorial services.  God is good, and I look forward to all that He has for me in this journey as I do my best to walk just as He walked (1 John 2:6).

Thanks for stopping by!  Be blessed.  Be encouraged.
