Student Venture is the high school wing of Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). Student Venture was brought to the Temecula Valley over 30 years ago, and has a presence on 30 middle school and high school campuses in 4 cities. It is our goal to bring the Good News of Jesus to the students in the public school system. By providing Christian clubs on campus, students can engage in biblical conversation that changes lives. Campus ministry is just one of the things we do. Here are a few of the other ministry opportunities we have in the valley:
- One Heart – youth pastor network
- One Events – valley-wide youth nights of fellowship, worship, and powerful messages.
- Crosswalk – hundreds of people and families walk 2.5 miles showing unity in the church for the purpose of promoting the sacrifice of Jesus on Good Friday.
- Night of Honor – A baccalaureate program honoring graduating high school seniors in the valley.
- Valley-wide Events: gathering of youth for fun and fellowship.
- Faith & Family Night: multiple churches and hundreds of people enjoying a night out at a minor league baseball game, including worship, player testimonies, and fireworks.
- Student of the Month Program: partnering with school districts in honoring student achievement and community service.
- Christian Heritage Tour: A tour of historic sites on the east coast promoting our Christian heritage, civic duty, and our responsibilities as Christian citizens.
- Leadership & Discipleship programs: garnering a deeper fellowship with Jesus.
As scripture tells us, there are many parts, but one body (1 Corinthians 12:12). Student Venture sponsors many events at various venues all for the purpose of living out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Stop by our website to see what’s happening in the Temecula Valley.
I joined the Student Venture team because the Lord brought me through 15 years of education experience that I can use on campus. His timing and will are perfect and it’s been a blast to see how I’ve been able to use my talents and abilities to promote the agape love of Jesus to hundreds of youth around the valley!
